BUDAFABRIEK

Op Buda eiland in kortrijk bevindt zich de Budafabriek, de eerste artistiek/economische werkplek voor zowel studenten, kunstenaars, ondernemers als actieve burgers in Vlaanderen. Het is gevestigd in de oude textielfabriek van Kortrijk. Verbouwingen zijn gemaakt door architectenbureau 51N4E. Het werd een vijfhoekig industrieel gebouw waarin de ingrepen die vooraf gingen aan het werk van 51N4E niet worden verstopt. De vijfhoekige vorm komt zowel langs buiten als langs binnen terug. Er kan zowel gewerkt worden in ateliers als in het Buda::Lab, een Fablab met 3d- printers, lasercutters etc.. De Budafabriek staat ook open voor het exposeren van de werken die er gecreëerd worden.

Buda Island in Kortrijk is home to the Budafabriek, the first artistic/economic workplace for students, artists, entrepreneurs and active citizens in Flanders. It is located in the old textile factory of Kortrijk. Renovations were made by architectural firm 51N4E and it has become a pentagonal industrial building whose interventions that preceded the work of 51N4E are not hidden. The pentagonal shape recurs both outside and inside. Work can be done in studios as well as in the Buda::Lab, a fab lab with 3D printers, lasercutters, etc… The Buda factory is also open to exhibiting the works that are created there.
