ID&A at the Festival of the New European Bauhaus

As a community of futureproof designers and changemakers, some of our ID&A-colleagues and students went to explore this Festival and the wide range of activities it had to offer …

“The Festival brings together citizens from all walks of life to debate and shape our future landscape. It is an opportunity to explore the New European Bauhaus values of beauty, sustainability and togetherness, and their power to address societal challenges.”

Go and explore it yourself !

The Fair is a virtual, physical and mobile exhibition online and across Brussels that showcases inclusive, beautiful and sustainable projects. One of the projects shown was curated by our very own PG Space & Service Design team called the “Mindful Museum”.

We also went to the ‘Forum’ at the beautiful Gare Maritime @ Tour & Taxis to join in on a series of debates with speakers from around the world, including inspiring architects like Rem Koolhaas and Shigeru Ban. Many talks took place on the green transition, architecture, R&I, culture, education, regional development, international challenges and so on.

Then we went to the ‘Fest’, a live cultural program with performances such as art installations, interactive workshops, dance/music concerts, guided tours… During these events we got to meet, interact and exchange ideas with a wide range of individuals from different walks of life!

And last but not least… Antony, Britt and Julie attended the official NEB Prizes ceremony as finalists of the Rising-Star Awards! These PG Space & Service Design students submitted their Dr. Guislain toolkit as part of the Mindful Tourism Project. Congratulations on making it to the finals !
